Israel has issued a travel advisory for its citizens in India following a low-intensity explosion near its embassy in Delhi. While nobody was injured in the blast, police found shrapnel at the site and an investigation is underway. The country’s National Security Headquarters (NSH) has urged Israelis to avoid crowded places, skip large-scale events, and stay alert. The NSH also advised against displaying Israeli symbols in public and posting trip details on social media channels. The explosion is believed to be a possible attack, raising concerns of further incidents. In light of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the NSH had previously urged Israelis to reconsider travel abroad and avoid outward displays of their Jewish identity. India has heightened security measures around the embassy and other Israeli establishments in Delhi to ensure safety. This incident comes after a similar explosion outside the Israeli embassy in 2021, which resulted in property damage but no casualties. It is important for citizens to remain vigilant and follow the guidance provided by authorities to stay safe while in India.
