Renana Jacob, Batshema Yahalomi, and Hadas Kalderon, three Israeli mothers whose children have been kidnapped by Hamas, are raising awareness about the issue and advocating for the immediate release of the hostages. The trio traveled to the UK to conduct media interviews and meet with the Qatari ambassador to the UK, as Qatar is acting as a mediator between Israel and Hamas to facilitate the hostage release. The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed grave concern for the conditions of the hostages, particularly children, the elderly, and those in poor health. Israel has been launching air strikes on the Gaza Strip in response to the attacks. While politicians have questioned the accuracy of casualty figures, the WHO believes them to be reliable. The mothers are urging for a pause in the violence to ensure the safe evacuation of children from Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has faced criticism for the security failure and slow progress in freeing the hostages. Mark Regev, a senior adviser to Mr. Netanyahu, acknowledged the security failure and informed of the establishment of a special directorate to communicate with the hostage families and make efforts for their release. The mothers are focused on the immediate release of their loved ones and expressing their anguish and uncertainty over their future.
