The death of a 24-year-old Mexican student, María Fernanda Sánchez, in Berlin, Germany, has led to a police investigation. Sánchez had gone missing on July 22nd while studying for her master’s degree in the German capital. Her body was found in the Adlershof neighborhood by a walker. The search for Sánchez had involved hundreds of people, including her parents who flew out from Mexico to join the search. The young woman’s laptop and mobile phone were found in her room, indicating that she had left her residence. Friends and fellow students organized search parties and distributed flyers throughout the city. German police suspect that Sánchez was in a psychologically fragile condition when she disappeared. Despite receiving 120 tip-offs, there were no external signs of foul play in her death. However, a post-mortem examination has been scheduled to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
