The Impact of Europe’s Farmers’ Protests on Agricultural Policies and Trade

Europe’s farmers have taken to the streets in large numbers to express their grievances and frustrations. The protests are driven by a range of issues, including sustainability policies, the effects of the war in Ukraine, competition from imports, and the high cost of living.
