Israeli strikes along the Lebanon border have claimed the lives of two journalists, further escalating the exchanges of fire in the region. The attack in the village of Tayr Harfa resulted in the deaths of an Al Mayadeen TV reporter, a cameraman, and another civilian. The Israeli military has not commented on the incident. This comes after repeated missile and mortar shell attacks by the Lebanese group Hezbollah, prompting Israeli airstrikes on “terrorist cells” and Hezbollah targets. The deliberate targeting of journalists has drawn international condemnation, with Lebanon’s prime minister condemning the attack and accusing Israel of attempting to silence the media. The ongoing clashes along the border have resulted in a significant number of casualties on both sides, with at least 77 reported deaths in Lebanon and nine in northern Israel. The situation remains highly volatile as tensions soar at the border.
