India’s hopes of reawakening its Moon lander, Vikram, are slowly diminishing as each hour passes. The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has been attempting to establish communication with the lander and its accompanying rover, Pragyaan, since the start of the new lunar day. However, no signals have been received so far. Former Isro chief AS Kiran Kumar expressed concerns about the extreme cold temperatures on the Moon, which may have caused damage to the lander’s components. Despite the challenges, Isro is continuing its efforts to revive the lander and rover. India made history with its successful soft landing near the lunar south pole, joining the ranks of the US, former Soviet Union, and China. Although the chances of reawakening are fading, Isro remains hopeful for a positive outcome. Stay tuned for further updates on this groundbreaking lunar mission.
